The Covington News, local newspaper to Lendmark’s Covington support services, featured COO Joe Burgamy and Lendmark employees in a weekend edition article about how Lendmark’s innovative and resourceful employees, in partnership with local businesses, addressed the challenge of sourcing COVID-19 PPE needs for Lendmark employees.
As an essential business, Lendmark’s 350 branches in 19 states have remained open during the pandemic, modifying operations to serve its customers safely.
With the Covington location serving as the primary distribution center, more than 2,200 reusable, employee hand-sewn masks were shipped through Lendmark to its various branches in Georgia and abroad. COO Joe Burgamy said, “When our employees stepped up like that to make reusable masks on behalf of the company, it absolutely just spoke volumes of the quality of the employees and the spirit that we have in fighting this together. I could not be more pound of what Lendmark has done and what our employees have been able to do through this crisis.”
Burgamy added that there have been numerous similar stories of community partners and local companies in the states where Lendmark operates that have stepped up to help provide Lendmark’s front line employees with the necessary PPE’s to continue operation.
